BeauMad

Founded over 20 years ago by Norm Rush, BeauMad began as a one-man operation with a passion for smaller-production, boutique wines, many of which were family-owned for generations. Norm, also the founder of the premier Southeastern Wine Event, Sante South, built his business on education, holding double certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Society of Wine Educators. He was a catalyst for revolutionizing the wine industry in Mississippi, leaving a true legacy of creating a sophisticated market for wine.

With Sara Knight-Rush's involvement over the past five years, the business has experienced significant growth, leading to the merger of the two companies. "We are incredibly grateful for the support of retailers and restaurateurs, as they have been instrumental in BeauMad's success," says Sara.

Magnolia Barrel House

Magnolia Barrel House, founded and run by Zack McLeod, a Certified Spirits Specialist and Sommelier, shares BeauMad's vision and values. McLeod is credited with bringing fine select spirits to previously untapped markets in both Mississippi and Alabama. The Magnolia Barrel House portfolio includes an extensive range of boutique, small-production family-owned brands. McLeod's early passion for wines led him to expand the portfolio to include unique wine styles from around the world, some with very traditional roots that had been forgotten and are now being rediscovered.

"Zack is highly respected in the industry by peers and consumers alike," says Sara Knight-Rush. McLeod's vision for founding his own company was inspired by the story of his meetings with Norm. "Zack gained invaluable experience with BeauMad wines and was inspired by Norm's success in building a boutique wine portfolio," adds Sara.

MadVines

MadVines and Spirits, a collaboration between BeauMad and Magnolia Barrel House, will serve both Mississippi and Alabama, boasting a larger combined team dedicated to providing customers with cutting-edge products, availability, and customer support. This new venture will seek out long-forgotten wines and spirits from around the world, as well as emerging ones. MadVines and Spirits will continue the commitment to excellence established by past generations of product cultivation.

"Sara and I are thrilled about the natural fit of this partnership, and we are eager to build upon the successes of BeauMad and Magnolia Barrel House under our new name, MadVines and Spirits," says Zack.
